Saturday, May 3, 8am - 3pm - Community Yard Sale at the Park. A great success. Over 15 vendors took part. Included were the West Sacramento Historical Society, the West Sacramento Friends of the Library and U.P.P.E.C Portuguese Womens Society.

Saturday, August 18, 2007 - Fadista Ramana Vieira and group performed at The Carvalho Family Winery in Clarksburg at the first "Portuguese Festa" afternoon with Portuguese foods (Carne/Galinha Espeta, etc.) and wine tastings. San Pedro assisted with a display of our vintage redwood wine vat & grape crusher and San Pedro Banner, flags and photos.

Sunday, August 5, 2007 - Rio Vista Festa - San Pedro members with banner and flags (Portuguese, US & Madeiran) walked in the parade to church and then enjoyed sopas - Baby queen, Paloma Freitas and Madison Freitas-peasant girl/aide also participated. Everyone along the parade route were pleased to see our Madeiran group in the parade.
NOTE:This is the first time since 1979 that San Pedro flags/banner, Queen & Aide have walked at a Festa. View Photos taken at the Rio Vista Festa!

Dec. 3, 2006, Sunday, VFW Hall, Bryte.

Our Annual Christmas Dinner. A visitor from the North Pole was there with gifts for the children. It was an enjoyable afternoon.

"A Madeiran Afternoon at San Pedro Park" (Posted by Sharon Freitas on Oct 12, 2006)
(Uma tarde divertida num ambiente de alegria, amizade e folclore )

On Sunday, October 8, 2006 an exciting event took place at the San Pedro Park in Bryte, California. Over 150 people gathered to share food, drink and music originating from the Island of Madeira where many of the early Portuguese settlers in Bryte were born. Begining with wine sampling from the Carvalho Family Wines in Clarksberg, followed by appetizers of "old fashioned" linguicia and imported Portuguese cheese then a full dinner of Carne no Espeto, bay flavored red potatoes, etc. When finished with dinner, entertainment was provided by "Grupo Folclorico Tradicoes da Nossa Terra" with many of the local folks joining in for the dancing. Dessert was Madeiran Honey Cakes, Reid Hotel Fruit Cake, Sweet Bread and Fruit soaked in White Port. What a meal and What a day! Many thanks to all those who attended, many, many thanks to all those who helped with the many tasks!

August 14, 2005 - Dec. 3, 2005 West Sacramento History Museum San Pedro Annual Festival Association display, opened August 14, 2005 and closed on Dec. 3, 2005.
